Re: October lotto
Val, it's 4 blocks, each 6 inch made into one 12.5 block. I'm creative that way. My plan is to make different blocks using different fabric, at least that's how I read the rules.

Re: October lotto
I made four blocks, all different.
Two are 54/40 or fight
One is called Sugarloaf
One is called Pigs Tail, a variation of snail trail
I think I followed all the rules…
I didn’t buy any fabric
I used scraps, and even a few “ugly“ prints
All are 12 1/2 inches, un-squared
I wanted to work on color combos I wouldn’t ordinarily choose
I wanted to try some blocks I’ve never made before
And I wanted to use up those scraps!
They will be in the mail this coming week

Very nice Maryz.
I decided to try out a paper pieced block. It's been a while since I've paper piece. I had forgot a few things, but it eventually all came back to me. I've made 3 of eight parts wrong so far. It's definitely a learning experience.

Maryz, love that sugarloaf block. the pink and green are beautiful. the diamonds would be intimidating to me.
Lori, I have a book called Teach Me To Paper Piece, it's hearts by Carol Doak. I rarely try paper piecing but when I do I refer to it. It's very helpful.
next week I will make another block, I don't really have plans next week.
