This started it all!

Post by karpet » Wed Mar 31, 2010 6:43 am

This is the first quilt pattern I ever made and the only quilting class I've ever taken, but it was so exciting to see how it went together that I've been hooked on quilting ever since (and that was 20 years ago.) I've heard similar stories from other quilters - this seems like a good choice for your first quilt.

I've always loved the log cabin quilts and decided to make this one for a wedding present for my nephew & his bride. They'll be getting it for their first anniversary this July. It's in the process of being quilted right now, can't wait to see how it'll turn out!

Maryellen...........So Nice!!! Love the 3 color idea. Your pink BC quilts are so delicate looking and by changing the colors you have made a very classic looking quilt.

Great Job!!
Have Fun,

MaryEllen, I love your quilt... I have never ever been able to make a square block for this one... I need to practice and try it again

Opp's wrong spot Sorry

One of my favorits I've made this year, easy to read instructions and piece together. I've learned alot with quilt, take alot of breathers and breaks.

This too was my first try at quilting. I signed up for a class using El's technique, went to one class, and couldn't wait for the next one and finished the top in a matter of two days (that was 3 years ago). Still haven't completed the quilt (or the 15 other tops I have made), but that is another story! Lori
