33 so far!
Now that our "Village" is built, it is time to add some Love. Just a reminder of the rules.
1. Blocks must be to my house by the last day of the month. Remember it is a short month. If not, I must have at least a tracking number for you to be included in the drawing
2. Blocks must be made by a member of the forum (no fee to join so the more the merrier!)
3. Please use a good quality fabric. It does not have to be LQS but be sure to check and look through the fabric at other places (if you can see through it, please leave it at the shop) Also, please do not use muslin.
4. Better yet, pull from your stash, I know you all have one. If you don't, I have plenty and will send to you. With postage going up and up and up, I don’t want you to spend $$ on lotto fabrics.
5. Please do not send money this month, I have enough for about 4 months to send onto the winner.
6. Have fun! If you have questions along the way, remember the only silly one is the one not asked.
This month we will make heart blocks. You can choose the patterns you want but
blocks must be 12 1/2 inch Heart blocks. (please leave a bit for squaring up). Use a white background (either solid or WOW) and fabric that reads Love, Romance, Valentine's. It does not have to be red or pink. As you can see one of mine has blues and I have one more to make that has small white hearts on purple background. Nice florals would be acceptable too. Another fun fabric would be those with chocolates. If you aren't sure if your fabric is okay, send me a picture and I will let you know.
Was thinking these would come out bigger?

Re: February Lotto 2022
I am planning on just one winner unless I get a whole bunch of blocks. Would like winner to be able to put a quilt together without making more blocks. I am thinking 20 blocks for nice lap size quilt. So it will depend. I think many of these end up as charity quilts and easier to get together quickly when you have all the blocks.

Valerie, this sounds fun. I won’t be home until Monday and it always takes us a week to settle back in a
but I’m sure I have fabrics to do this lotto justice.

Valerie, love the idea of 1 winner having enough to make a quilt out of the winnings without having to make extra blocks ❤ that's perfect ❤

Plenty of time Mary. No rush.
Tina I hope some others agree with us. The village is definitely going to one person. All the contractors worked so hard to build it I would hate to split it up.

I've been looking at heart quilt block patterns tonight. There are a gazillion of them and I haven't even gone to Pinterest yet. my gosh, it's going to be hard to choose.

Re: February Lotto 2022
We found a great quilt shop here in Bakersfield, Thimble Towne, and among other things I picked up some pink and red valentine fabrics. Can’t wait to get home and try out some ideas I have!
