Maryz blocks are here. The first of many I hope. This will definitely be a cool quilt. Just love that bright green.

Re: March Lotto
I got my new 1/4 inch foot and will give these blocks another shot. Not sure if I should take apart the ones I have already done and resew or start over. Mine just weren't coming up the right size.

Re: March Lotto
Chriss I think it depends on how much fabric you have. I tend to recut if I can. Also once you have ripped it out a couple times the fabric tends to fray more.

Re: March Lotto
Chriss, I'm with Val. If you have enough fabric to re-cut do that first. Go back later to frog what you've already made if you need them.
This morning is pressing and cutting fabrics for both this and the Easter swap.
I'm off to the drawing board...

Re: March Lotto
Chriss my first one came out a hair too small so I made 2 others with what i learned but went back to that first one and just unsewed to the 9 main squares and moved my needle over a little more to the right to make a little less seam and it worked out perfect.
I hope that helps.

Re: March Lotto
Remember when using the quarter inch foot that the fabric runs along side it, not under or against the side of the guide. Fabric tends to move just when we don't want it too.

Re: March Lotto
thanks Val. I have learned that I am way out of practice and need to get back to the basics.
Tina, I will unsew during my zoom meeting. I haven't used the seam ripper on them yet. Hoping it helps. If not it's start over. So glad I have the fabric
