Idiot Squares
So you know I have this tote box full of 2.5" squares and while "scrappy" really isn't my thing, I thought what the heck, let's just sew a bunch of squares together! It's a perfect little project to kind of do here and there and since my Featherweight hasn't moved from the dining room table, I sew a few while dinner is in the oven (ha ha who am I kidding---while I'm waiting for dinner to be delivered! )
So Maryz sent me a picture of another option to do with all the squares and since I had a lot of small pieces of white, and I do love lattice-y quilts I thought I'd try to. It turned out pretty big--like 69x 81!! And it's definitely one I'll ask Viv to quilt for me.....as soon as I find a big enough piece for backing! I probably have enough 2.5" squares all cut to make 3 more just like this... but it ain't happening!!

Mary, that's awesome! Great job!
I saw one on Pinterest where black was the background and it really made those scrappy little blocks rock stars! No cost quilts are the best!

Very nice Mary. If you don't like super scrappy, you can control with color waves. Use just all blue scraps, or green and yellow. That might be more appealing to you. I like this pattern.
May try it myself. I think I'll try 3 1/2 inch squares though. 2 1/2 are quite small.

This is so cute. It is a great use for those cuttings. Definitely a great T.V. room during winter. (HINT-HINT)

I just love, love this quilt. Please share the name of the pattern.
I love scrappy. My friend a retired accountant , and my friend a retired ICU nurse does not like the scrappy look. We have a thought that they love order and I was a PE teacher with 30 plus kids running around and I love scrappy. Could their be a connection?
Beautiful job my friend.
Wish I lived closer as I could maybe swap fabric for the little squares with you.
Have a blessed day, so proud of your work.
