Easy Angle & Companion Angle Rulers

Somewhere along the way I bought or was given both the Easy Angle and Companion Angle Rulers. They allow you to make Half Square triangles and quarter square triangles out of strips.

Until I started on Bonnie Hunters Orange Crush Mystery earlier this summer, these two rulers were in the bottom of my ruler box, never used. There are so many ways to make these two units, that I simply never tried these rulers before.

Well, this afternoon, I pulled out some fabric for a swap block and realzed that I wasn't going to be able to use my prefered method-the QIAD method. My fabric was only 5" wide and I needed 5 1/2" squares. So I dug around to find the ruler and realized I could cut the pieces I needed from a 2 1/2" strip, so I cut the fabric into strips, cut my triangles using the ruler and not only did I have good looking quarter square triangles, the whole block is darn near 12 1/2"!

Maybe I should dig through my ruler box more often.

I'm like you, I have many rulers that I haven't used. Some are so specialized I forgot what in the world I am suppose to use them for. I did save all the instructions for each one so I guess I need to take some time and match the instructions to the rulers. One is Judy Martin's point trimmer. I cannot figure that one out at all even after reading the instructions.

What a neat site. I have added to favorites. Like a dummy I never used to keep instructions on the packages for my rulers. I do now, but this site will help with rulers I have with no instructions.

Thanks for posting.

I had the easy angle ruler and love it for 1/2 sq. triangles however I do not have the conpanion ruler. So I printed out the instructions from the tutorial so will have them available and share them with my quilting friends. Thanks.

Psychologists have long stated that a hobby contributes to the development of a harmonious personality, so people who love to knit and sew, live in harmony with the world and their feelings, experience stress better and do not have nervous disorders. But only a few people have learned that a hobby can tell a lot about a person, and especially about his character. I work as a writer and I love to write fascinating and at the same time educational articles, you can find them on https://anonymous-essay.com/'>https://a ... essay.com/
